“We gather each week for Christian worship and fellowship, following a historic tradition that unites people of diverse backgrounds by the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ.”

We are glad you are here, from wherever you are – rejoicing in the hope of our Savior Jesus!

Below, please find our Sermon audio, bible readings and some songs. Set some time aside today if you are able, either alone or with some friends or family, and enter into an intentional time of worship with our God. May He bless you today and may you know that Jesus is always with you! 🙂

“Your Father is Pleased
to Give You the Kingdom”

Keep Calm and Don’t Worry? What is there to be anxious about?  In the Bible teaching today, we hear Jesus tell us not to be anxious.  Is that really possible?  It is only possible with Jesus.

Bible Readings

Genesis 15:1-6

【Gen 15:1】After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, [ Or sovereign ] your very great reward. [ Or shield; / your reward will be very great ] ”

【Gen 15:2】But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit [ The meaning of the Hebrew for this phrase is uncertain. ] my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”

【Gen 15:3】And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”

【Gen 15:4】Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.”

【Gen 15:5】He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring [ Or seed ] be.”

【Gen 15:6】Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Hebrews 11:1-16

【Heb 11:1】Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

【Heb 11:2】This is what the ancients were commended for.

【Heb 11:3】By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

【Heb 11:4】By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

【Heb 11:5】By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” [ Gen. 5:24 ] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

【Heb 11:6】And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

【Heb 11:7】By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

【Heb 11:8】By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

【Heb 11:9】By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.

【Heb 11:10】For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

【Heb 11:11】And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she [ Or By faith Abraham, even though he was too old to have children—and Sarah herself was not able to conceive—was enabled to become a father because he ] considered him faithful who had made the promise.

【Heb 11:12】And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

【Heb 11:13】All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

【Heb 11:14】People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.

【Heb 11:15】If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.

【Heb 11:16】Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Luke 12:22-34

【Luk 12:22】Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.

【Luk 12:23】For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

【Luk 12:24】Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!

【Luk 12:25】Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life [ Or single cubit to your height ] ?

【Luk 12:26】Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

【Luk 12:27】“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

【Luk 12:28】If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

【Luk 12:29】And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.

【Luk 12:30】For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.

【Luk 12:31】But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

【Luk 12:32】“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

【Luk 12:33】Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

【Luk 12:34】For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Spend some time in prayer with our Heavenly Father. He asks us to pray, to talk with Him. Like a father and his child. Bring to Him your problems and your difficult situations. Bring to Him your hopes and desires. Praise Him and give Him thanks for all He’s done.

Share your life with Him,

because He loves you.

Go in peace and serve the Lord!
